Importing a Mesh from a File
Users can import meshes from files into the pre-processing module by clicking on the "Load Mesh" button followed by selecting the option "Import from File". A pop-up window will be shown where the user should enter values for the following fields for the mesh (see Figure 28):
Name (required): a name for the mesh. If no name is provided, the file name will be used.
Description (optional): a description for the mesh.
Scenario (optional): users can associate the mesh with an existing project scenario. By default, the mesh is associated with the scenario that is currently loaded.
Choose file: the button located at the bottom opens a file browser window that allows users to select the mesh file to be imported.
The list of supported mesh formats can be found here.
Once the mesh file has been imported, the mesh will be rendered on the screen. Note that the Save
button located at the bottom of Pre page must be clicked to save the mesh into the working project/scenario.
